One of the greatest Mexican eateries on Route 66 is in San Bernardino. This is fourth-generation-owned, and the place dates back to 1937. To this day they continue to delight travelers and locals. Besides their awesome food, they are also known for helping Glen Bell, who had a restaurant across the street there, make tacos - which would inspire him to create the Taco Bell fast-food chain. The restaurant would also serve as a community meeting place for San Bernardino. In recent years, the Mitla Café has won many awards at the local and state level. Don't miss out on the Mitla Café when you're getting your kicks on 66!
This was done with @adventurevin7600, though he is not seen in the video.
We also visited the La Plaza Park across the road, where a "Hampton Hotels" marker once stood.
