What defines the true character of a Muslim?
In this introductory lecture, we begin a series on Islamic character (Akhlaq) and why it is central to our relationship with Allah ﷻ. This talk lays the foundation for understanding noble character through the ultimate role model—the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Allah ﷻ describes the Prophet ﷺ in the Qur’an:
Indeed, you are upon a tremendous character (Surah Al-Qalam 68:4)
Character is not easy to build, but it is immensely rewarding—and achievable with sincerity and guidance. In upcoming lectures, specific traits of Islamic character will be discussed in detail, one by one, in shā’ Allāh.
