In this dream come true, my two favorite game genres finally came together all the way back in 1998 with this title from Square, Parasite Eve for the Sony PlayStation One. This survival horror game mixed with Squares classic RPG based games brought something refreshingly new to the world with its mixture of free roam and active time combat. Set as a sequel to a Japanese horror book, we take control of NYPD officer Aya Brea as she finds herself the only of capable of taking on the mutated horror Eve before she uses her cellular mutations to destroy all humans and liberate the mitochondria within. Armed with a variety of different firearms and her own awakening cellular based powers, can she defeat Eve and discover the secret that brings them together.
