FULL THRASH + SMOOTH ZF: Route 53 | NX59BYC/21008 - Go-Ahead Procters: Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 2

Описание: In this video, we ride on-board Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 2 (KJZ13/21008), whilst operating on service 53 between Northallerton and Bedale.

This vehicle has been on my tick list for many years now, so was very relieved when I finally managed to catch a ride on-board, and it certainly did not disappoint. It also continues to have a very brilliant smooth ZF gearbox, which certainly proves it's a decent service bus. So much better in comparison to the 'cheaper, built-in rattle products' that went on the market a few years later...

The driver seemed very determined to finish the run off ontime, partially down to the fact a school contract is built onto the duty, therefore there was no hanging about on the service run, with it being very much foot down all the way & thankfully the traffic was not too bad, in order to allow a bit more acceleration.

This example was new to Compass Royston, before then moving onto Leven Valley, and then onto Dales & District, where it became one of the dedicated branded buses for their commercial 73 service linking Northallerton and Bedale. Now part of the Procters Fleet, since Go-Ahead have taken over, which has allowed this vehicle to make appearances on other West Yorkshire services, including the X98/X99 linking Wetherby and Leeds...
