The Journal of Democracy celebrated its 25th anniversary issue with a panel discussion featuring several contributing authors of the January 2015 issue, including Alina Mungiu-Pippidi, Hertie School of Governance (Berlin); Thomas Carothers, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; Lucan Way, University of Toronto; Steven Levitsky, Harvard University; and Larry Diamond, Stanford University and Journal of Democracy coeditor. The discussion was moderated by Marc F. Plattner, National Endowment for Democracy and Journal of Democracy coeditor. The event was cosponsored by the International Forum for Democratic Studies and Johns Hopkins University Press.
