Why Age Restriction of 6 years to be in 1st Class?

When I found out that in Maharashtra, a child had to be 6 years old to go to first class, I was furious.
And I was like if my daughter is capable and she can do it, why can’t she go like, who’s the state to stop her?
And then I did some research and it seems like it is only by the age of 6 or afterwards, the brain of a child develops to be able to reason, to coordinate, to listen to instructions and to play with other children in the class in a cooperative manner.
This is why the age is at 6.
But the broader question is, why was I in a rush? Why did I want her to go to school earlier?
Because if you look at it, our children are learning machines from the time that they are born and before the age of 6, the need of the child is not to learn Maths or Science or English.
The need of the child is to play freely, to be able to stack stones or bricks or toys or whatever they are doing. From this freedom comes the discipline to be able to do things.
So if you see, we should actually be, and I was thankful to the state for increasing this age and actually making it 6.
