At my recent Virtual Open Studio, I tweaked a few paintings that were almost-but-not-quite done, and one guest asked me about fixative and what it's good for. I don't often use fixative, but in talking about what one might sometimes use it for, my answer got around to a nice review of SpectraFix (Degas fixative), which is the one fixative I would rely upon if I REALLY wanted to fix a pastel painting to not need glass!
