Comparing (Testing) the Minelab Vanquish 540 VS the Minelab Equinox 800 in the surf at the beach. Huntington Beach metal detecting.
I took out the Vanquish 540 recently and was bugged about how much chatter I was getting without a find. So, I decided to take it back out and use the Equinox 800 to confirm finds and to see if I would miss any.
Both detecters performed perfectly and neither missed a target that the other found.
The only thing that was not recreated was that the chatter occurred at a different beach. I will go back and check it out again. I am still not sure if it was chatter or small signals that I was not getting with the scoop.
Either way, I am now confident both detectors do the job promised by Minelab.
Now to look at other sand scoops.
