Back in October 2025, we screened our film, Being Black in America, at the The Avenue Blackbox Theatre in Rochester, NY.
It was a beautiful time with audience members sharing ideas about how we continue to uplift our Black youth and how we preserve our history, connecting with folks in the community, including Teen Empowerment and Black Storytellers League of Rochester, hearing a story that we thought we knew told by the Black Storytellers League, and cheerful and heartfelt reactions from our audiences about the film both during the screening and with our feedback.
We're grateful to Avenue Blackbox Theatre, Black Storytellers League, Teen Empowerment, our panelists, Rudy Fabre with being our photographer, and Olivia Robinson with being our videographer!
