Описание: Diese Italienische Mazurka wurde von P. Fortre und L. Canora in den USA komponiert. Sie wurde bereits 1913 von O. di Bella veröffentlicht und gilt als die schönste Italienische Mazurka für Mandoline.

Tra Veglia e Sonno wurde schon oft aufgenommen und auch als Filmmusik verwendet.

Ich mag diese Mazurka sehr gern. Sie klingt gut und ist nicht besonders schwer zu spielen.

Ich habe zwei Aufnahmen dieser Mazurka gemacht, diese hier mit meiner japanischen Suzuki Mandoline und eine zweite mit meiner amerikanischen flachen Washburn Mandoline.

This is said to be the most beautiful Mazurka for mandolin. I like it very much, it sounds great and it is not very difficult to play.

I have recorded two versions, this one played on my Japanese Suzuki Bowlback and a second one with my American style oval hole Washburn mandolin.

Many details about the composer and this music and the publisher O. di Bella can be found in the book "Italian Mandolin Heroes in America" by Sheri Mignano Crawford.

I have prerecorded the guitar part and the second mandolin with my loop station and play the first mandolin for the video.
