A lovely way to turn the very same tool into a totally different style of heart.

By the end of this video, you’ll know:

• how to flat felt clean, gift-ready shapes
• and how to get multiple projects from the same simple supplies

This is a gentle, no-stress, beginner-friendly project — perfect for first-time felters or anyone who just wants something sweet and simple to make. 💕

🧰 What you’ll need

• Foam felting pad or mat (at least 6” x 6”)

• Felting needles in sizes 38 and 40
(star or triangle tips both work)
Tip: it’s a good idea to have a couple of each size on hand in case of breakage.

• Wool roving
– I used Felted Sky’s Felter’s Pallet Batt in Azalia (1/8 oz)
Any of the three wools can be used for any of the projects. I haven’t tried 3D felting with Feltrs Pallet, but Felted sky does use it in their 3D felt kits. If you want to use this wool, you will need the full 1 oz size to do all 3 projects.

• One cookie cutter (used for Projects 1 and 3)

• One 5” x 5” piece of wool felt
(Not the craft-store blended sheets — those are usually synthetic.)
You can also use cotton or linen fabric instead — I like to double it up for stability.

(This is not the exact linen I used. I used a medium weight white linen. You can also use Cotton Fabric. If you arent a sewist and therefor dont feel the need to hoard fabric…a fatquarter pre-cut from Walmart, Michaels or Hobby Lobby, or online would suffice.

If you’re brand new to needle felting, this is a wonderful place to start.
