▬▬▬▬▬ SUMMARY ▬▬▬▬▬
In order to spend a day as an 18th century soldier in New France, Sebastien must fully experience life as a soldier at the beginning of the 18th century, during the Seven Years' War (1756-1763). Thinking he is being recruited into a cushy job with great benefits in the 18th century French army, he is press-ganged by the ruthless Captain Philipp, the commander of the Compagnie Franche de la Marine. With the illusion of choice now gone, Sebastien tries on his 18th century army uniform, meant to represent the French royal crown. Fully swagged out in 18th century dress, he is introduced by the 18th century villain that is Captain Philipp to his 18th century weapons: the flintlock musket, the bayonet, and the sword. He then integrates the rest of the line infantry troops to learn the basics of 18th century warfare and infantry training: musket drill, firing in ranks, cleaning the weapons and uniform, and marching. Life in the army is also about survival, and Sebastien indulges in some 18th century soldier food while discussing the upcoming French revolution and the scummy 18th century British army. However, its time for the musket firing drill, and he marches down to the Old Port of Montreal accompanied by some 18th century music to finally learn how to fire a musket, all while trying to unionize the troops under the banner of Marxism...
