Sacramento DA believes ABC10 shooting suspect acted with political motive
Sacramento prosecutors have filed felony charges against a man accused of shooting at the ABC10 News station on Broadway. Investigators say the September 19 shooting was politically motivated, citing handwritten notes and threats found during searches of the suspect’s home and car. Felony charges include shooting at an occupied building and assault with a semi-automatic handgun, carrying a maximum sentence of 17 years in prison. The District Attorney’s Office is requesting no bail, calling the suspect a public safety threat.
