This 30-minute webinar is a follow up to the presentation on Jan 24 2013 (View on demand here) on modeling a mass impacting a structure and load recovery using NX NASTRAN linear transient solution. This solution worked well; however, it did not simulate true contact dynamics. In Part II, we will demonstrate how to use GAP elements to simulate a contact surface. This simulation will require NX NASTRAN Nonlinear solution to model boundary conditions at the surface of impact.
