In 2021, ASTERS, the Haute-Savoie Natural Conservatory (CEN74) carried out an action to restore a portion of the Col du Bonhomme trail and its surroundings in the CONTAMINES-MONTJOIE National Nature Reserve of which it is manager. This work was carried out thanks to the financial support of the European project PITEM Biodiv'ALP, the Department of Haute-Savoie via the Territorial Contracts for Sensitive Natural Spaces and the State. They were implemented with the technical support of the National Alpine Botanical Conservatory and the support of the Commune of Contamines-Montjoie. Other structures also participated in this operation on the ground, notably the Mountain Professions Training Center, Champ des Cimes as well as the Communauté de Communes Pays du Mont-Blanc.
