Описание: What's the difference between the IRS "injured spouse" and "innocent spouse?" An Injured Spouse will be "injured" if they file as married with their spouse because the spouse owes a debt and the refund will be taken to pay that debt. Use IRS Form 8379 so the IRS only takes your spouse's share of the refund and you get your share. An Innocent Spouse is divorced and later receives a notice from the IRS stating they owe money on income their ex spouse earned... and the Innocent Spouse is completely unaware of that income and did not benefit from that income. Use IRS Form 8857 to demonstrate your "innocence" and remove the tax debt from your record. If you have any questions or want to see more articles and videos, please visit www.kayethetaxlady.com.
