Orange County United Way's Youth Career Connections program celebrated its first-ever Startup Boot Camp with a showcase and culmination event for local high school students that completed the five-month entrepreneurial boot camp. This innovative opportunity gave students the chance to learn what it takes to start a business and hear from local entrepreneurs along the way.
At Friday Night Munchies in Santa Ana, participants presented their own startup business plan, showcased their business and/or products, and several students were selected to receive scholarships.
Hear from student entrepreneurs on their takeaways from being a part of the boot camp, and the partners and sponsors that helped make this all possible.
Youth Career Connections is part of the United for Student Success initiative, which aims to ensure children and youth receive the support they need to stay on track in school, graduate high school on time, and are college- and career-ready.
