Despite several M-flares and high activity, Earth has mostly missed the line of fire this week. Luckily, a high speed solar wind stream has bathed us all week long in soft, gorgeous auroras. In some places these displays have been far superior to those created by the huge solar storm that hit us back on September 12-13. Learn why that storm fizzled and why NOAA was right to issue high-level (G3-level) storm warnings. Also, see details of what the Sun has just around the corner and how the coming activity might affect you this week.

None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of those who have provided all of this data for public use.
