The 2024 Paisley Sma' Shot Day parade through Paisley in, Renfrewshire, Scotland on Saturday 6th July 2024, as the parade marched along the High Street by Paisley Abbey. The parade, led by the familiar sound of the Charleston Drum, featured a number of giant puppets, along with local worker and community groups.
Afterwards the crowds gathered outside the Abbey to enjoy a series of street theatre shows, enacting a historic dispute between local shawl weavers and manufacturers. The highlight of the celebrations is the 'Burning of the Cork', the middleman between the weavers and the owner, who meets his fiery demise!
