On a very wet October day we visited Cape Meares Lighthouse. The drive to get there took longer than expected thanks to a road closure but the lighthouse isn't far from the town of Tillamook. You can go on a short walk down to the lighthouse and then back up the other side. Make sure to also head away from the lighthouse to the other side of the parking lot where you'll find the Octopus Tree and another great lookout.
From there we drove to Cape Lookout State Park which was a beautiful drive between the two. We got to the park just as it was approaching high tide so we didn't stay on the beach too long but there's also a bunch of trails on the land above the beach too.
The next day we got up and headed out to Devils Cauldron Overlook which is a short, unassuming hike from the side of Highway 101. It's definitely worth a visit though, but the start of the trail is quite steep. To finish up our day we headed to Rockaway Beach to visit Pronto Pup which claims to be the inventor of the corn dog! Whether they are or not, the corn dogs were delicious and worth a stop.
That wrapped up our trip and it was time to drive 4 hours back to Seattle.
