Please forgive the click-bait-ish title, I wanted to create a video that covers why I love intervals and focus on them so much more than chords. This video is a bit of an experiment, it’s my first focusing on theory and composition. Is this something I should do more of?
A disclaimer, this video only discusses the intervals that occur in a major scale. It doesn’t cover all intervals, and certainly doesn't cover all uses. Here I am trying to explore some possibilities of using intervals in diatonic settings, I might make vids in the future with less tonal ideas.
Another disclaimer, yes I realize I used the phrase “frequency modulating” incorrectly in the vid. What did I actually mean there?
