How to Join-Up With Your Horse Tutorial

Описание: Requested video from several people who asked how to join-up with their horses. The Join-Up method was orginally founded by Monty Roberts.

"Traditional methods aim to teach the horse to DO AS I SAY and involve the use of pain and intimidation, but Monty focuses on communion with the horse, rather than domination. "For centuries, humans have said to horses, 'You do what I tell you or I'll hurt you,' I'm saying that no one has the right to say, 'you must' to an animal or to another human, Monty said."

SIGNS TO REMEMBER:
-Inner Ear Turned Towards You
-Mouthing/Licking
-Tongue In and Out
-Snorting

IMPORTANT NOTES:
-time an dpatince are key
-when you have started a join-up, finish till the end
-join-ups range from 20mins to several hours or longer depending on the horse
-no treats used to get the horse to follow you or do what you do
-petting as a reward
-try to keep aquare with the horse and dont let him/her stop until they start showing signs of wanting to join-up with you
-can drive the horse with lunge whip, lead rope, or hands. (i used a whip to drive in this video)
-NEVER hit or touch the horse if using a whip or lead line
