Aurora Halal’s sets are known for their psychedelic, fog-like quality. In her Art of DJing, recorded live at RA2122 celebrations in New York, she unpacks how rekordbox is key to achieving this: from utlising it’s song categorisation feature to how she uses cue points to program one or multiple starting points in a track, and layer them within her sets.
“I’m very into rekordbox,” she said. “There are so many possibilities within it and different ways you can prepare, categorise, name, play it. It’s honestly a pretty amazing technology.”
