This beautiful version, released in 1997 by Michael Dunford's Renaissance, has the classy vocals of the American singer and composer Stephanie Adlington and the inspired orchestration of Richard Brown, then musical director of the Royal Shakespeare Company. The song, originally released by Renaissance in their 1975 LP "Scheherazade and Other Stories", was composed by Dunford & Betty Thatcher Newsinger.
