Why Karl Marx Was Right

Описание: Karl Marx is one of the most argued about thinkers of the modern world — praised as a prophet, dismissed as a crank, and often reduced to slogans. But the real story is far more interesting. Marx wasn’t trying to predict a revolution; he was trying to understand the world he saw around him.

In this video, we explore:

• the industrial world Marx was born into
• why he believed capitalism was revolutionary rather than static
• how mechanisation reshaped work, class, and daily life
• why the middle class were more vulnerable than they realised
• the modern echoes of Marx’s predictions in today’s economy

Seen through the lens of his time, Marx’s ideas become less about ideology and more about a clear eyed attempt to describe a world being transformed at speed.

If you’d like to explore the scholarship behind this video, these books offer a clear and thoughtful path into Marx’s world and the debates around him:
