I love square cut garments because they're easy, fast, and use the least possible amount of fabric. All the seams are straight lines except the neck which makes them excellent beginner projects.
Here I'm using Fabrics Store IL019 mid weight linen in vineyard green (no affiliation, I just really like their stuff).
