In this episode, we spent two amazing days docked at the port of Narbonne. This charming southern French town offered us beautiful canal views, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere. After soaking in the vibe, we took a quick train ride to the incredible medieval city of Carcassonne. Walking through the old town and exploring the majestic castle felt like stepping into a fairytale.

Back in Narbonne, it was time to say goodbye and continue our journey through the Canal du Midi. As we left the Canal de la Robine behind, we entered one of the most scenic stretches of the canal.

We spent a peaceful day in the picturesque village of La Somail — a true hidden gem with its iconic stone bridge and cozy canal-side cafés. From there, we cruised toward Capestang, a lovely stop filled with charm and history.

One of the highlights of this leg was entering the Euvélo 8 tunnel on the Canal du Midi — a unique and unforgettable experience!

Finally, our boat reached Port Cassafières, where this part of our journey came to an end… but many more adventures are still to come.
