I was in Newport Beach Ca. capturing images and video just outside the Balboa Bay Resort Hotel. I was met on the sidewalk by a hotel employee asking if I had a permit to record. I informed him that I don't need one to record from where I was standing (on a public sidewalk). Due to a brief technical error with my main camera I missed documenting my interaction with the employee , however I was still able to capture a couple still images from that interaction. My camera issue resolved in time to document my interaction with police when they eventually showed up on scene.
