Since I had bought IK Multimedia Amplitube 5 MESA/Boogie 2 just the day before Neural DSP released Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+, I thought it'd be cool to compare them.

They're both excellent guitar plugins, however I did find it trick to get them to sound exactly the same, it does come close though.

Needless to say Neural DSP did a fantastic job on the Neural DSP Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ Amp Sim plugin (yet again) and this is as good as it gets amp sim wise, even though it does feel somewhat redundant considering the previous Archetype: Petrucci and the existence of another another official Mesa Boogie MK IIC+ by IK Multimedia Amplitube 5 Max which is also great.

I used the same IRs (GGD Studio Cabs: Cali Oversized) and the same overdrive when applicable (Neural DSP Fortin Cali Hexdrive)
