This video was filmed June 3, 2022.
This is a very quiet area for trolleys to go by because there is almost no traffic that goes through here. The only noise you hear is the freeway which is right there to the left. That's also why the bells stop ringing when the gates are down because there's no need for them to keep ringing loudly if there's no traffic anywhere. The trolley station you also can kind of see behind me is the 70th Street trolley station which is a very quiet station. Also that trolley station is all by it self and far from other trolley stations. Same with this railroad crossing as well because the next crossing going behind me is several miles near the Amaya Drive station in La Mesa and the closest crossing this direction is several miles at the Fenton Parkway station and that is where you will also see my next railroad crossing video too so it will be a while.
If you are wondering what the "X" light is for, it's for trolleys that are in service and the crossing signals know the trolley is coming to a stop so it allows traffic more time to go by like that one vehicle that went by while the X light was on. If there was a trolley that was not in service or if there was a trolley coming from the other direction, the crossing signals come on immediately.
Here's my other two videos showing different angles of the other railroad crossing signals here.
