In a major breakthrough for public safety, the Edo State Special Security Squad and the Police Command have arrested 46 suspected cultists and 5 "Yahoo Boys" linked to armed robbery operations across Benin City.
Under the ongoing "Operation Flush Out," security operatives carried out intelligence-led raids in various hotspots in the Benin metropolis to curb the recent rise in cult-related killings and internet fraud-related crimes. During the parade, the suspects were presented alongside recovered items including firearms and laptops used for cybercrime.
This crackdown comes as Governor Monday Okpebholo intensifies the war against insecurity in Edo State, issuing a strict warning to cultists and criminals to leave the state or face the full wrath of the law.
