493 being moved Highline 050416 Yvonne Lashmett

Описание: K37 Locomotive 493 built in 1928 was retired in 1970 and purchased by Charles Bradshaw in 1981 when he formed the D&SNGRR after purchasing the line from the D&RGW. The 493 sat in the Silverton yard for almost 20 years.
It was brought from Silverton to Durango by K-36 #481 in May 2016 to be considered for a locomotive swap that was later scrapped. All the empty passenger cars were necessary for braking power.
This scene will never be replicated and I was the only one there to capture this moment on the highline!
