“2015 marks the 75th anniversary of my father’s birth, and the 30 year anniversary of his passing. Both are important hallmarks, and will only ever happen once.
In commemoration of his incredible life and contribution, I have recorded a limited edition EP of some of my favorite Rick Nelson recordings entitled: Pop Songs: Tribute To Rick Nelson. This intimate, stripped down, acoustic based collection, includes background vocals by the legendary Jordanaires, pedal steel by Grammy award winner Dave Pearlman, and drums by acclaimed composer and Emmy winner Silas Hite. (All songs performed by Sam Nelson, and produced by Enoch Jensen and Sam Nelson).
