This session will summarize the current influenza season and provide an update on H5N1 avian influenza, outline testing and treatment guidance for influenza and provide current updates for influenza vaccination.

Outline influenza testing and treatment recommendations.
Summarize the current situation of H5N1 influenza in humans including its pandemic potential.
Understand the rationale for influenza vaccination recommendations.
