In a major development ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections in India, two persons from Odisha have been arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly trying to influence Congress MLAs. D. K. Shivakumar confirmed that two of the four individuals who had travelled from Odisha were taken into custody. They reportedly admitted to offering ₹5 crore to influence votes ahead of the crucial Rajya Sabha polling.
