0:18 Prep & Prime: Start with a clean lid, preferably shaved. Apply foundation to the entire face and then a light base shadow to ensure smooth blending.
0:26 The Drop: This is key! Instead of drawing your eyeliner or shadow upwards in a "wing," keep it straight or gently *angle it slightly downwards* past the outer corner of the lower lash line. This is what creates the signature "sad" or downturned illusion.
0:46 The Shadow Shape: Using a dark, matte eyeshadow (charcoal, black, or deep brown), focus the colour right above the crease and blend it out toward the temple, but keep the outer corner of the eye dark and slightly rounded.
Apply the dark shadow to the entire lower lash line, connecting it to the downward sweep from the upper lid. Smudge gently for a soft, smoky effect. Apply several coats of dark mascara, focusing on the upper lashes. Contour with pencil and apply false eyelashes for that "fluttering eye"
1:37: Apply a glitter eyeshadow with tip of the finger over eyelids.
2:28: Apply concealer beneath the eyes. Dot on and blend. Brush loose powder over.
2:54: Apply a nice orange-pink shade of rouge
3:04: Apply lip liner and draw the classic cupid bow lip shape. Then fill in with lipstick.
3:29: The authentic 1920s Flapper makeup and style look.

I take early fragments of silent 16fps footage and restore them to life by a combination of manual frame by frame colorization as well as the use of deep exemplar-based video colorization techniques. The footage is upscaled and the frames interpolated to a higher frame rate ( in most cases 60 frames per second.) Finally I produce a soundtrack which helps build a new immersive experience for the viewer.
Together, these processes revive old fragments of footage, offering audiences a more
