How to replace the boot train tube and grommet on a Mk7 Golf.
The grommet that drains water from the boot mounted VW badge / handle on the Mk7 Golf is a common failure item. When the grommet fails it leaves the drain tube loose in the boot, draining the water between the two metal panels making up the boot lid. Let's fix this common water leak!
When opening the boot you can find this drains out of the plastic trim and rear light holes.
This £5 part is a fairly cheap and easy thing to replace yourself.
