DUMBO is one of the most photographed corners of New York.
The famous Manhattan bridge view alone draws crowds at every hour of the day.
But just a few blocks away, the energy changes.
In this walk, I leave the bridge behind and head toward a quieter side of Brooklyn. We'll visit a Japanese art gallery and café tucked into the Vinegar Hill neighborhood, and later, an old stone gatehouse distillery with warm natural lighting and jazz-era tunes.
Even in the most crowded places, something calmer is usually right around the corner.
