Conventionally, high-speed processing machines are used to achieve high-efficiency and high-precision in the finishing process. However, reduction of processing time in the finish processing is limited, making the shortening of roughing process indispensable for reducing the overall cost of die and mold applications. In order to maximize the performance of high-speed processing machines, it is necessary to keep the load of the tools used constant, suppress load fluctuations, and maximize the feed rate and cutting depth. WorkNC's high-speed machining toolpath utilizes the length of cut of the end mill and distributes the load over the entire length of cut, reducing the amount of cutting in the axial direction of the end mill and making it more efficient than roughing by radial cutting, which also prolongs tool life.
