In this video, I break down my complete pickleball practice routine that I use to build consistency, confidence, and match-ready skills. This routine focuses on the fundamentals that actually translate to real games, not random drills that look good on Instagram.
I start with straight ahead dinking to establish control and touch, then move into cross-court dinks on both sides forehand dinks and backhand dinks to work on angles, patience, and soft hands. From there, I transition into straight drops, followed by cross-court drops from both sides forehand drops and backhand drops, which are essential for getting to the kitchen against aggressive opponents.
Next, I work on resets to stay calm under pressure and neutralize speed, before moving into forehand drives and backhand drives to develop controlled power. I then focus on hands drills, followed by counters and speed-ups, which are critical for winning fast exchanges at the net.
I finish the session with serves and returns, because free points and strong starts matter at every level of pickleball.
This pickleball practice routine is designed for players who want to improve consistency, shot selection, and confidence in real matches, whether you’re training for tournaments or just trying to play smarter.
