When people hear Cadillac F1 or see Cadillac joining Formula 1, the reaction is almost always the same.
“They’re new.”
“They’ll struggle.”
“They’ll be at the back.”
I think people are jumping to that conclusion way too fast.
In this video, I break down why the Cadillac Formula 1 team might be a lot stronger than most fans are giving them credit for, especially when you actually look at the details instead of just assuming every new F1 team is doomed.
We go through everything that actually matters:
• How Cadillac entered Formula 1 under the cost cap and why that changes things compared to past new teams
• Why the Cadillac F1 car and Ferrari power unit could give them a reliability advantage early on
• How chaos, regulation changes, and other teams’ mistakes can completely reshape the midfield
• And most importantly, why the Cadillac F1 driver lineup is being massively underestimated
A lot of people are overlooking the fact that Cadillac signed Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas — two proven Formula 1 race winners with decades of combined experience. That’s not normal for a brand-new F1 team, and it’s not something you can just hand-wave away.
This isn’t me saying Cadillac F1 is going to walk in and win championships right away.
That’s not the point.
The point is that writing off a Cadillac Formula 1 team with this level of experience, structure, and stability feels lazy — especially in a season where reliability, mistakes, and adaptability might matter more than outright pace.
People keep saying Cadillac will struggle in Formula 1.
I think people might be sleeping on them.
If you’re following Cadillac F1, Formula 1 news, F1 driver lineups, or wondering how Cadillac will perform in their first years in F1, this video is for you.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
Checo or Bottas — who would you trust more in the Cadillac F1 car?
