On the early morning of September 17, 2021, the new R211 subway cars ventured onto the Franklin Avenue Shuttle to perform clearance testing. As this order will be comprised of 5-car units, it is very unlikely that these subway cars will ever run on this line again. In addition to catching it at Botanic Garden station, the train can be seen on the (B) and (G) lines at 59th Street - Columbus Circle and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues respectively.
