Saipem delivers major projects across the globe – from Saudi Arabia and the UAE (including the Ghasha project) to Angola, China, Brazil and Indonesia – often coordinating complex FPSO scopes built in multiple locations.

In his talk, Jacopo presents Saipem’s internally developed smart safety harness, designed to enhance day-to-day work and supervision on site. The core message: technology should support the workforce, not replace it – especially when it comes to safety and making sure every employee returns home safely. He also reflects on how oil and gas companies must evolve into broader energy players, embracing new energy sources and digital project management, as every role from site worker to manager now needs stronger IT and IoT skills.
