SANTI GARCÍA TRIUMPHS AT RALLYE DE A CORUÑA: TER – TOUR EUROPEAN RALLY 2026 KICKS OFF IN STYLE.

Santi García and co-driver Néstor Casal claimed a commanding victory at the 30th Rallye de A Coruña, the thrilling opener for the 2026 TER – Tour European Rally and TER Historic series. Driving their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, the duo topped the TER overall podium, fending off fierce competition.

The TER overall results:

1st: Santi García – Néstor Casal (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2)

2nd: Diego Varela – José Vieitez (Hyundai i20 Rally2)

3rd: Adrián Díaz – Diego Rodríguez (Toyota GR Yaris RZ)

Drama unfolded for multiple TER rally winner Iván Ares and co-driver Borja Rozada on their Toyota GR Yaris Rally2. Ares dominated, winning 10 of 11 special stages as the fastest driver overall, but an off-road excursion and spin in SS3 dropped them to a frustrating 4th place overall.

In TER Historic, Santiago and Mateo Permuy sealed a flawless win aboard their BMW, rounding out their debut round.

TER organizer and promoter Luca Grilli said: “A strong start to the 11th TER season, following our late-January TER Promo Event at Arctic Lapland Rally. This weekend’s 30th Rallye de A Coruña launched TER – Tour European Rally and TER Historic 2026 amid the stunning backdrop of A Coruña and Galicia. Thank you to the Rally organisers for allowing Galicia to return to our series.”

Nestled on Galicia’s rugged Atlantic coast—known as “Finisterre,” the end of the world to ancient Romans—A Coruña blends Celtic heritage, fresh seafood like pulpo a la gallega (octopus Galician-style), and lively festivals. Its iconic Tower of Hercules, the world’s oldest lighthouse, watched over the rally’s high-speed action.
