Umling La is a high-altitude mountain pass located in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, India. At an elevation of 19,300 feet (5,883 meters), it is considered to be the highest motorable pass in the world, surpassing the famous Khardung La Pass (which has an elevation of 18,379 feet or 5,602 meters).
Umling La is located in a remote and rugged area of Ladakh, surrounded by towering mountain peaks, snow-capped glaciers, and pristine alpine lakes. The pass is accessible only by a narrow, winding road that is often challenging to navigate due to the extreme weather conditions and the difficult terrain.
