I had the most amazing day flying a new site today, Ben Nevis which is half an hour past Ballarat. The clouds looked phenomenal from cloudbase at 1200m asl. I never thought I'd get a good run during winter, but I stayed up for about 80 minutes before the thick cloud covered the sun. Huge wedge-tailed eagles constantly came over to have a play, flying within one meter of my wing, and coiling their necks down to look at me and egg me on. They were very friendly here and there must have been 30 or more of them!
Today's flight again reminded me of the power of mother nature, there is no feeling quite like the feeling of flight. Video was taken from my Spark drone, Huawei Mate10 and GoPro 5 Black on the wing.
