How to feel pulse

To feel your pulse, use your index and middle fingers to gently press on the inside of your wrist, just below the base of your thumb. You should feel a rhythmic pulsation as the blood flows through the artery. Count the number of pulses you feel for 60 seconds to determine your heart rate. 

Detailed Steps:

1. Locate the Pulse:

Extend one hand, palm facing upwards. On the wrist, find the area below your thumb, on the side of your wrist opposite the palm. 

2. Apply Pressure:

Use the tips of your index and middle fingers of your other hand to gently press on the artery. 

3. Feel the Pulse:

You should feel a rhythmic pulsing sensation, which indicates your heart rate. 

4. Count the Beats:

Use a watch or clock with a second hand to count the number of pulses you feel for a full minute. 

5. Record the Result:

Your heart rate in beats per minute (bpm) is the number of pulses you counted in one minute.
