A few weeks ago a very big China store called China town was opened and Ugandans went insane about it because of the supposed cheap shopping expectations. Ugandan are very active shoppers who love affordable prices. Many wholesellers and business men wanted to take advantage of this period to restock their business.
Who on the first day were so many that the government was forced to intervene and by the second day it was temporarily closed due to security purposes for both Ugandan people and the China town store owners, the store remained closed for a number of days until a solution was found and one of them was people using the back door.
The paying machines broke down and people were left with no choice but to take back the goods
So the question is was it the long lines that Ugandans made for really necessary, was it worth it and how is the situation right now.
