Odisha witnessed a tragic “Kala Somabar (Black Monday)” as rising road accidents claimed 13 lives across the state within just 24 hours. According to reports, a father and son died in Keonjhar after their motorcycle rammed into the rear of a truck. Multiple other fatal accidents were reported from different regions, including four deaths in Bargarh, three in Kuchinda, two in Bonai and one in Balangir. The series of incidents highlights the growing concern over increasing road accident deaths in the state, with several families losing their loved ones in separate mishaps within a single day.
