Night ice fishing for big burbot at one of my favorite reservoirs turned into an awesome overnight ice camping trip. I drove across state lines to meet up with my good buddy Max for a overnighter to chase burbot after dark — and it did not disappoint.
Burbot are one of the most unique freshwater fish you can target through the ice. They feed aggressively at night, especially during the winter spawn, and there’s nothing like sitting in a glowing ice tent waiting for that rod to load up.
